Kwayaciiwin's annual Summer Institute will be held at Ojibway Provincial Park in Sioux Lookout from August 26-28, 2019. This year's gathering will feature collaborative and integrated land-based and cultural learning and teaching.
The three days of Professional Development workshops and training sessions are aimed at teachers, language and immersion teachers, principals, and education directors who work in First Nations in the Sioux Lookout area.
Transportation will be provided from Sioux Lookout to Ojibway Provincial Park. Participants are welcome to camp on-site, but hotel accommodations are available. Evening activities are also planned such as canoeing, fireside storytelling, pontoon ride, and more.
