KERC hosts Career Fairs in Wununmin Lake and Weagamow First Nations

Updated: May 16, 2019

This year KERC hosted two career fairs in March in the communities of Wunnumin

Lake and Weagamow. KERC staff along with almost 22 presenters were

flown into the communities. Pilots, artisans, visual artists, graphics artists, MNR fire fighters, forestry technicians, GPS specialists, photographers, mechanics, electricians, aestheticians, health workers and many more met with the students and community members to discuss in detail what they do for a living. The career fairs aimed to give students a better understanding of the careers so they can make informed choices for their future.

The career fairs are part of the FNIYES initiative funded through KERC.
