The Winter Picnic
Michael G. Dubé is a local children's book author and creator in the Sioux Lookout District. His first book My Dad the Snowplow Driver was published in 2014. His second book The Winter Picnic was written in dedication to his mother and created in collaboration with Kwayaciiwin.
The Winter Picnic, is a heart warming the tale of two young First Nation Brother's disappointed by a recent snow fall and an unfortunate day of canceled plans turned into a delightful outing spent with their mother on a Winter Picnic in the vast wilderness of the north.
The Winter Picnic was Release in the early winter months of 2016.
