Teacher / Principal Recruitment

Based on the Sioux Lookout Area Chiefs resolution (# 10/01-2016) passed at the Kwayaciiwin AGM in January 2016, KERC initiated the teacher/principal recruitment process for an aggregate of communities starting in the 2016–17 school year.

Tasks to be conducted for this initiative will include:

  • KERC will place group ads for teacher/principal positions
  • KERC will gather and compile resumes and create a database of applicants
  • KERC and the communities will screen resumes
  • Arranging of interviews
  • KERC will complete reference checks

The final decision on who will be hired will continue to be the responsibility of each community.
